Why are we here …

I’ve started a brand new blog, nearly 20 years after I created my first, because it feels like it’s time do my little part to take back the internet and create (bespoke, weird, lovely) personal sites again. Social media and big tech don’t deserve our data. DIY for the win!

This space will probably focus on KPop and music a lot, but the plan is to just follow my passions and see what’s fun to write about. I’ll also (probably) build a link collection and share interesting things I’m reading sometimes.

When I’m adulting …

I work in EdTech, Web Design, Virtual Worlds, Games and Facilitation. I have run games servers and virtual worlds servers for many years, and work with schools and universities to discover and implement digital technologies.

I’ve been known to start crazy projects on the internet. You might know me from the Islands of jokaydia in Second Life, jokaydiaGrid in OpenSim or the Massively@jokaydia Minecraft Community.

Passion projects …

My current passion projects are running the Apobangpo Mastodon Server and creating handmade toys for pets.
