Everything old is new again! Or at least that’s how signing up to attend this weekend’s FediForum.
I think the last Unconference I facilitated for jokaydia was in about 2011 and happened in Second Life, so it’s exciting to feel that same sense of intrigue about who and what will be presented by the community of early adopters, developers and intrepid explorers helping to build the Fediverse.
To find out more visit the FediForum website @ https://fediforum.org.
There’s a page with proposed topics here.
I’m mostly interested in sessions covering community building, federation, moderation and how to help people move from walled-garden socials to try out spaces like Mastodon. I’m also hoping to get some further inspo a bit more about how we might use these spaces in learning spaces and higher education.
I’ll try to share some notes or links or something next week.
